Halloween - October 2006

Brianna dressed up as both a princess and a pioneer for halloween this year.

On Halloween we had my family over for a party so that the kids could trick-or-treat together.

I went over-board with the treats! I had so many cute recipes that I couldn't choose, so I made them all. We also had a yummy dinner that you cook in a pumpkin which also acts as the serving dish. It was a lot of fun!

I know that I've been a slacker, again, so I'm playing catch-up.

Ultrasound

On Wed we finally got to meet the baby. We wanted to introduce you to her as well! We have not decided on her name yet so if you have any suggestions please feel free to share them. If we use your suggestion you will win bragging rights! :>)

Waxing Our Noses

Yesterday, Sunday the 8th, we were pretty bored. We had Emili and Kevin over for dinner and somehow Staci talked us into waxing our nose-hairs! I know, pretty gross. You would think that it would really hurt, but it didn't. It actually worked really well. Staci just passed her tests to be a Cosmotologist so she did know what she was doing, but it was still pretty unnerving. We had a lot of fun laughing at each-other and it helped to pass the time!

















At the end of September Brianna and I decorated the house for Halloween. Brianna had more fun dressing up in costumes than actually helping, but we got it done and it looks pretty good!

Bree's Book Report

I am still alive, I know, it's amazing. I'm sorry that it's been so long since I updated my blog. I haven't been feeling well because, as I'm sure you all know by now, Gary and I are finally expecting! The baby is due on March 13th so I'm at about 16 weeks now. We should be able to find out what the baby is in the next month or so. Brianna of course is so excited that she hardly talks about anything else.

The pictures below are of Brianna's first book report. She read Cinderella and wanted to do a shoe-box scene for her report. It was fun putting it together. We just got her mid-term report and she's doing 100% or better in all of her subjects except math...ugg. I never did well in math either!

This Week (Wednesday - Sunday) Gary is in Texas, near Austin, doing some training with the regular Army. They called him up and told him that they needed some volunteers, and that if he didn't want to volunteer, they would make him go anyway, so he's there. That's the Army for you!

I've really been neglecting my blog the last week or so. I've been meaning to post some of the pictures from Brianna's birthday party for those of you who were not able to attend. Brianna had a great turn out, 14 kids from the neighborhood and several family members. They all had a blast and even little Luke wasn't afraid to join in on the fun!

Almost Finished!

Here are some pictures of the almost finished basement. I just have to install the baseboard moldings and touch-up paint! I can't believe that we're so close. Gary did the tile in the bathroom all on his own. I think that he did a fantastic job.

About six months ago Gary and I got the "bright" idea that we should finish our basement. We have worked nearly non-stop since then and now, finally, we are almost done! Here are a few of the pictures taken during the construction. The carpet is being installed today and tomorrow and when it is all done I will post the final result.
