Disneyland

We took a long awaited trip to Disneyland at the end of September with our neighbors, the Nelsons, Mary Ann and Brooklyn , Kat, and Mary Ann's friend Heather and daughter Kaitlin. We had a blast and here are a few of the pics to prove it!
Jenna loved the princesses and of course, Tigger, Eyore and Pooh, not to mention the rides!

Trying on hats at the mad hatters hat shop.
Jenna was beat! she fell asleep like this in the stroller.
On Wednesday we went to the beach. We swam in the ocean and made sand castles.

My Uncle Kim

On Saturday, October 10th, my uncle Kim Jensen passed away. I am going to miss him. I have a lot of great memories of him, one of the funniest was when he was still in the Marines. He came over to our house to visit. I was babysitting my brothers and sisters, and it had been so long since I'd seen him, that I didn't recognize him. We all hid up in the front room and peered out the window as he knocked at the door, too afraid of this "stranger" to open the door. He finally gave up and as he was walking away, I recognized him and ran out to stop him from leaving. He had a good laugh over that one.

Kim will be greatly missed by all of us who love him. I know that he is in a better place, surrounded by the Lord's love and with his loving parents at his side. We will see you again, Kim!

Commander Gary Bartholomew

On Sunday /gary was made Commander of Charlie Battery of the 145th Field Artillery. He will command the battery for two years. Way to go Gary!

Easter

We had our Easter celebration at my sister-in-law's parents house. It was a lot of fun, except that Gary wasn't there to celebrate with us, since he was in Oklahoma for two weeks.

We took the kids to Deseret Peak for their Easter egg hunt. They had the field divided up in age groups, so I only have pics right now of Brianna's field, since that is where I ended up. My sister, Heidi, took Jenna so I need to get pics from her still of that fiasco. All Jenna ended up with was a football, so Brianna gave her some candy.

Our pre-Easter activities included coloring eggs in my backyard, making an Easter art project, and playing.

Projects around the house

We've been pretty busy with various things around the house. Here are some of the ongoing projects. We've ordered a bunkbed that matches the desk for Brianna and Jenna.
In the bathroom we put up bead-board, pegs for the towels, and a new mirror. I will paint the upper walls a different color, but I'm waiting on the bathroom stuff I ordered to choose a color.

We finally got a new kitchen table that can accomodate up to 8 people, 10 if we squish. It's been great!
