Jenna's Nursery

I know that it's been a really long time since I updated my blog, as usual. Gary and I have been working hard on Jenna's Nursery and we're finally done! We put up bead board on the bottom of the walls (the olive green part) and painted a faux finish on the upper part. We did the upper walls in a pink first, but it looked horrible, so we re-did it to this tan-ish color. I really like the effect. I made all of the bedding, the diaper holder, the bumber pads, crib skirt, window valance, quilt and supply caddy (hanging on the end of the crib). I re-covered the gliding rocker and ottoman, framed 3 of the squares used in the quilt and valance for pictures, and put Jenna's future Blessing dress in a shadow box. My sister, Kimberli, made the dress for Jenna. Kim also made Brianna's when she was a baby.

I also bought this lamp and covered the shade in matching fabric and glued beads around the base of the shade.
My sister, Emili, told me about this idea with Jenna's name. I think it turned out cute.

I found this rug at Shop-Ko and the colors matched perfectly! How lucky can you get?
