Jenna's Here At Last!

As most of you already know, on Wednesday morning, bright and early, Gary and I headed to Cottonwood Hospital to begin our new adventure in parenthood. We arrived at the hospital at 7:30 a.m. and my midwife broke my water at around 8:30. I started having regular contractions right away, but after hours of contractions (getting more painful, of course, as time went on) I finaly gave in and had an epideral when after checking me for the third time, I was still only dilated to a 4. It was very discouraging. At about 4:30 they decided to put in a catheter and see if that helped. It did the trick! with in about a half hour I went from a 4 to almost a 10 so they called Julie, my midwife, and after pushing for only 15 or 20 minutes, Jenna was born at 5:53 p.m. It was a great moment! Jenna, as you can see in the pictures is a beautiful baby, and Brianna is the proudest big sister ever.
