Preston's Birthday - August 13

On august 13th Emili and Kevin invited us to meet them at Boondock's for Family Home Evening to celebrate Preston's 5th birthday. We had a ton of fun! Gary and I loved the go-carts. Brianna liked riding with other people in them, but was pretty nervous when she had to drive. We also played Laser Tag and Gary and Brianna did the bumper boats. Jenna loved the balloon. It kept blowing away, so I used her binki holder to attatch the balloon to her clothing and that did the trick.

Brianna's Baptism

On Friday, July 27, we baptised Brianna at the Fayette Spring. It was a beautiful day, and a wonderful baptismal service. We bought Brianna a pretty white dress to wear after her baptismand to church on Sunday.

Gary and I are very proud parents!

Nathan's Funeral

On Saturday, July28, we attended the funeral of my cousin, Nathan, who was killed in Iraq. It was an amazing funeral. It was held in the American Fork Tabernacle because so many people attended. The sidewalks were lined by the Patriot Guard Tiders (Bikers) holding flags. A member of the Tabernacle Choir sang "Thou Dost Not Weep Alone" by Eliza R. Snow. It was a beautiful Hymn. At the Cemetery the military did a 21 gun salute, had an honor guard carry the coffin and fold the flag, which Gary presented to my Aunt. It was a very touching service from start to finish. A fitting tribute for a real hero. In this picture, Gary has just presented Donna with the flag that draped Nathan's coffin. She is looking at Gary as he salutes her. He was in tears too. My grandmother is in the back ground and my uncle, Kevin in the foreground.
Boy Scouts lined 100 South all the was from the Tabernacle, to the Cemetery with flags. It was an awsome sight.
The family all placed roses and lillies on Nathan's coffin at the end of the services.
