Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

On Christmas Eve, we spent our traditional evening at the Eaton's. It was a lot of good food and fun.
The kids acted out the nativity story while my mom read from the scriptures.
We all got to open a present!
Christmas Day. Jenna had more fun sitting on the boxes and tearing paper, but she loved her new animal train.
Brianna was spoiled. She has a ton of stuff now!

Remodeling Mom and Dad's Front Room

After three VERY long days, here are the results of our hard work. New grandchildren picture display, with room to grow! And the frames match!!
New children and grandparents display.
Very dirty water, and this was after going over the same area about 20 times.
I'm sure that it won't end up staying here, but Dad's chair takes up much less room in the corner than right by the front door. You can get in the house without running into it!
Relaxing (for a few seconds) after three long days.
The wall paper is Mary Ann's fault! She started popping off bricks, so we had to help her finish the job. Sorry Dad!

The fireplace stands out a lot more now that the trees are gone.
We hung up curtains, but if you miss the view, Dad, you can take down the sheers.
The front door is now brown, and atempt to match the existing trim.

A New Look

Gary and I decided that we wanted a different look for our front room, so we added some molding to make a "paneled" look on the walls. I think it turned out pretty good, thanks to Gary's expertise with a saw and nail gun!

Jenna Likes Mud!

A few weeks ago we were pulling out the dead plants from the yard, preparing for winter, and Jenna had too much fun helping. She ate a ton of mud, well, dirt that turned into mud from her spit. The hext day she had sand paper for poop. It was disgusting!
